Loved the Lipstick Line!

I just finished watching Governor Sarah Palin give her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. This woman is phenomenal and gave one of the greatest speeches in American political history.

True she didn’t write the speech herself, but the delivery was sharp and articulate. The flow was excellent, and Palin appeared to be a natural. And there’s something about her, I believe, that makes her even a better speaker than Obama. She compliments the intelligence of her audience.

When Barak makes a jab during a speech, he lacks the savvy, subtle flavor. Yes, he does have a powerful voice and can say inspiring rhetoric, but there’s not any of the smart understood humor or slams using comments or experiences of his opponent in a smooth fashion.

Palin had that this evening. Her stabs were given with a smile, not only against Obama but also against the liberal media and skeptical commentators.

But the line of the night was not a promotion or a criticism. It was an “off-the-script” remark. Caught in a moment of reading the “Hockey Moms 4 Palin” signs, she feeds the audience a joke.

“Do you know what’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit-bull?” she asks. “Lipstick.”

Sarah Palin accomplished everything she was supposed to do this evening. She praised John McCain, she made herself known, and she won the hearts of many Americans.

It seems like all other candidates “PALE IN” comparison.
