All I know is, it’s very difficult to predict what’s going to happen to the economy. As of right now, the economy seems to be doing OK. I just got a mortgage, people are going to movies, and iPhones are flying off the shelves. Yet economic experts assure us that unless we spend hundreds of billions of dollars, economic doom is just around the corner.
They may be right. I don’t know. But I’m afraid that we’re about to take a major step towards the permanent nationalization of our economy, even it it turns out not to have been necessary.
