A Provoking, Yet Encouraging Post

In the past, I have referred to Father Jonathan’s news blog on Fox News website. He has posed another intriguing penning.

In his “Letter to a Frazzled America,” he asked readers to post responses to three questions.

I won’t repost the questions, but I think Father Jonathan’s inquiry is admirable. However, what’s more fascinating to read are the responses themselves.

At the time of posting this blog entry, there were four pages of responses. Of course, our busy lives may not allow us to read every single response, nor would I find it appropriate for children to be exposed to the gutteral language used in some of the responses.

However, if you are a concerned, compassionate Christian who would seek understanding of some of the mindsets of our fellow Americans, the responses may be eye-opening.

I have mentioned before a statement my pastor said awhile back: “What I say about you says more about me than it does about you.” I truly believe there is a lot of bitterness, hatred and confusion in our world, and it shows in these responses.

There also are comments from genuine Christians, and these may be encouraging too. So I suggest you peruse Father Jonathan’s letter, and then take a gander at some of the responses. After that, maybe you can come up with your answers to his questions. I think I will, and post them here for you to read. STAY TUNED…
