I have absolutely NO desire to see this movie, BUT…

The name of the movie is The Unborn.  It is a horror film starring Gary Oldham who plays a “spiritual advisor to a young girl who is tormented by the soul of her unborn twin brother.”

Did you catch that?

This Hollywood production’s trailer was featured during a commercial break of one of the many bowl games I’ve been watching over the past week. To be honest, I loathe horror flicks, but the title of this one intrigued me.

So I looked up the synopsis and production notes, and I found the terminologies throughout to be pro-life friendly.

Writer and director David Goyer, whose works include Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, said he was inspired to write this film because of the reality of pregnancy and the birth process.

“I’ve heard stories about one twin dying during the pregnancy…” he said.

Are you catching the phraseology? This isn’t somebody who is a pronounced pro-life advocate, or at least I don’t think he is, yet throughout the description of this movie we read about the unborn having souls and babies dying during pregnancies.

Please know that I am not promoting this movie. Perhaps there’s more to the film that I’m not aware of that would quench my fiery curiosity. For now, I’m encouraged that Hollywood is promoting life before birth.
